Try ReadIN

I'm building an AI reader called ReadIN. It's in private beta, and you're welcome to try it.

I started it because of something I always regret about reading: a book feels alive while I'm in it, and then I close it and forget. What I ultimately want is AI that helps you have a conversation with the book, so what you read actually stays in your head.

What it does now

Step one is a reader built for papers:

  • Nothing to install: open it in your browser to read PDFs and e-books, with AI built in
  • Don't want to read it? Summarize the whole thing in one click, and every point links back to the sentence it came from
  • Don't understand a sentence? Select it and ask AI
  • Translate into any language in one click, with the original and the translation side by side, and highlight or take notes right on the translation
  • When you're done, turn it into key points and a mind map, then let it quiz you so you remember

How to try it

Open the version for where you are:

The international version's AI can't be reached from mainland China, so pick by where you are.

On a computer, use Chrome or Edge. On an iPad, use Safari. It doesn't work on phones yet.

The AI features need an invite code. DM me on X (@Phoenix8701s) or on Jike (Phoenix_z), tell me whether you're in China or elsewhere, and I'll send you a code for the right version. There's no limit.

For early users

It's still in beta, so you'd be one of my first users. For the first 10: tell me what you want or what's annoying, and I'll build it right away. Some days I ship 10 versions.

How it was built

I can't code. I built ReadIN by talking to AI, and it's past 40 versions now. What I do each day is in the log. To start from the beginning, read this: I Can't Code. I Shipped 36 Versions in Six Days.
